BBNaija’s Anto Lecky becomes Edo special adviser on tourism, creative economy

A former Big Brother Naija housemate, Munirat Anto Lecky, has been promoted to special adviser on tourism and creative economy by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Lecky announced the appointment in an Instagram post on Wednesday, describing it as an opportunity to “do more” for the state.

“The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more,” she wrote.

“Thank you HE Senator Monday Okpebholo @he_mondayokpebholo for the opportunity to continue serving Edo people, now as Special Adviser on Tourism and Creative Economy.

“Thanks to my Chairman and the SSG @musa.ikhilor for their strong support through this journey.”

Lecky was initially appointed special assistant on tourism and creative economy in Edo State in 2025.

Reacting to her elevation, the reality television star expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the state in a higher capacity.

“In just little over a year, I’ve been given a promotion to do more for my state, and I am extremely grateful,” she wrote.

She also encouraged residents to share ideas that could promote tourism and the creative industry in the state.

“My open-door policy remains — feel free to reach out to me with your tourism and creative ideas for the state. Together, let’s take Edo to the world.

“I will also like to remind my fellow public figures/celebrities that have been appointed by governors to please truly answer the call and do the job.

“I know how difficult it might be to leave the comfort of your homes and go back to your states, but your people need you and the work is rewarding.”
