Agbogbo Ode, the Head of Service of Benue State, has died.
His passing was confirmed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Serumun Aber, on Saturday. The government described his death as sudden, following a brief illness.
Dr Ode, who died the same day, was praised as an accomplished technocrat and a respected figure in the public service, with his death described as a significant loss to the state.
The statement noted that his expertise, dedication, and contributions to the state civil service would be greatly missed.
The state government also extended condolences to his family, friends, associates, and members of the civil service, while offering prayers for the repose of his soul.
