The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has announced the death of its Spiritual Father, Emmanuel Alogbo, at the age of 93.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, the church said Alogbo died peacefully at his Lagos residence in the early hours of the day. According to the statement, he passed away at about 2:10 a.m. while surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
The church described the late cleric as a devoted spiritual leader who dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity. It also announced that daily prayer sessions would be held for seven days from 5 p.m. at his residence on Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos, while funeral arrangements will be announced later.
The church prayed for the repose of his soul and encouraged members to remain steadfast in faith during the mourning period.
Prophet Alogbo led the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous Christian denominations, and was widely regarded as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders. During his tenure, he played a key role in the church’s spiritual growth and expansion both within Nigeria and internationally. His passing marks the end of an era for the church, with members expected to pay their final respects in the coming days.
