The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken into custody a former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, who was recently found guilty and sentenced by the Federal High Court in Abuja over financial misappropriation.
EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede, according to Channels Television, said Mamman was arrested early Tuesday morning at about 3:30 am.
He was reportedly picked up in Kaduna alongside two individuals believed to have been providing him protection. Olukoyede added that the residence where the arrest took place is now under investigation by the commission.
