BREAKING: FCTA orders immediate closure of public senior secondary schools in Abuja over security concerns

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has instructed all public senior secondary schools across Abuja to close on or before Friday, November 28, due to pressing security concerns.

According to a memo issued on Tuesday by Aishatu Sani Alhassan, director of school services, FCT secondary education board, and seen by TheCable, principals and school heads were mandated to halt all academic activities without delay and ensure students are dismissed “in an orderly and safe manner.”

Schools were further asked to notify learners, staff, and parents; revise their academic schedules; and prepare to resume on the next official school day unless additional instructions are communicated.
