BREAKING: PDP expels Wike, Fayose, others at National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, a former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose and the party’s suspended National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

Their expulsion was announced on Saturday at the party’s national convention in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

Former National Vice Chairman of the party (South), Chief Olabode George, moved the motion for the expulsion.

Chairman of the Bauchi state chapter of the party,  Hon Samaila Burga seconded the motion.

Recall that the PDP faction loyal to Wike had moved to stop the convention through the court, but the party secured judgement at a high court in Oyo to make the convention hold.

A few days to the convention, Mao Ohabunwa, chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Wike-led faction, said anyone going to Ibadan for the purpose of convention would just going there to relax because the exercise would not be recognized by law.
