BREAKING: Poco Lee to appear before UK court over assault charges September 15

The Snaresbrook Crown Court in London has confirmed that Nigerian dancer and socialite, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is scheduled to appear before the court over assault charges.

The court confirmed the development in correspondence with PUNCH Online on Tuesday, following an inquiry into the alleged sexual assault case involving the entertainer.

According to the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, the matter is officially listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.

Baker, however, said the court would not release the specific hearing time or courtroom details until the day before the proceedings.

He wrote, **“OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.

“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing. Many thanks.”**

The court’s confirmation follows an earlier disclosure by the founder of the community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby.

PUNCH Online had reported on Monday that Kuti said Poco Lee was being held in a UK prison on remand and was expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in September.

Kuti said his information was based on his regular attendance at court proceedings and his involvement in supporting Nigerians facing legal issues in the UK.

“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” he said.

He explained that a plea hearing generally gives an accused person the opportunity to enter either a guilty or not-guilty plea.

Kuti also said he intended to attend the proceedings in support of the Nigerian community in the UK.

The latest confirmation from Snaresbrook Crown Court has now officially established that Poco Lee’s case is listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.
