Buhari’s daughter weeps in Daura

Fatima Buhari, the eldest daughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, arrived in Daura in tears on Tuesday ahead of her father’s burial.

Overcome with emotion, Fatima was comforted by close family and friends at the Daura residence, where preparations were ongoing for the funeral.

Other members of the Buhari family also gathered at the former president’s hometown to pay their final respects.

Buhari, who passed away on Sunday, 13 July 2025, after a long illness, will be laid to rest today at his residence following funeral prayers at the Emir’s palace.
