The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been directed by a Federal High Court in Lagos to bring socialite Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, popularly known as KC Luxury, before the court.
The order was issued on Thursday following the agency’s failure to formally charge and arraign him despite keeping him in custody for 14 days.
The court’s directive requires the NDLEA to produce KC Luxury and address the continued detention.
Recall that on August 18, 2026, the NDLEA announced the arrest of the Lagos-based socialite over a 184.5kg cocaine consignment valued at about N39 billion.
KC Luxury was arrested at the Lagos airport while allegedly attempting to flee Nigeria for Paris.
The order followed an ex parte application filed by KC Luxury through his counsel, A. Labi-Lawal, SAN, under the Fundamental Rights Enforcement Procedure Rules, 2009.
