Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, June 21, 2026

The dollar-to-naira exchange rate in the parallel market, commonly known as the black market or Aboki FX, has remained a key focus for currency traders and Nigerians monitoring forex movements.

As of June 21, 2026, currency traders at the Lagos parallel market sold one dollar for ₦1,406 and bought at ₦1,396, based on rates obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators.

This means individuals looking to exchange dollars for naira in the black market can trade at these prevailing rates.

Black market exchange rate (USD to NGN):

  • Selling rate: ₦1,406
  • Buying rate: ₦1,396

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), however, does not recognise transactions carried out in the parallel market and has continued to advise individuals seeking foreign exchange to use authorised banking channels.

At the official market, the CBN exchange rate recorded a high of ₦1,374 to the dollar and a low of ₦1,365.
