Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, over allegations of certificate forgery.
Nnaji was reportedly arrested on Wednesday morning at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while preparing to board a private jet to Abuja.
Security sources said the former minister, who resigned last October amid controversy, was apprehended by DSS operatives following a request from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and was later handed over to the anti-graft agency.
According to the sources, the ICPC had previously invited Nnaji several times over petitions concerning his management of the ministry and subsequently sought DSS assistance to facilitate his arrest.
