The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has dismissed allegations of voter harassment, intimidation and vote-buying during the ongoing governorship election.
Earlier, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dare Bejide, alleged that APC members were distributing money to voters at a polling unit and called on security agencies to intervene.
Speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Polling Unit 003, Okelele, Ikogosi-Ekiti, in Ekiti West Local Government Area, Oyebanji said those making the allegations should provide evidence to support their claims.
The governor, who voted alongside his wife, Olayemi, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election so far.
He also urged eligible voters who had yet to cast their ballots to come out peacefully and perform their civic duty.
