The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has denied issuing a fake “Letter of Provisional Offer of Employment” currently being circulated by individuals falsely claiming to represent the agency.
In a statement posted on X on Thursday, FAAN clarified that it is not undertaking any recruitment exercise at the moment and has no affiliation with the purported employment letter or any related job offers.
The authority cautioned the public against falling for the fraudulent recruitment scheme, advising individuals not to make payments or disclose personal information to those behind the fake offers.
“FAAN wishes to state categorically that the Authority is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise and disassociates itself from this letter and any related employment offers,” the statement said.
It added, “Members of the public are advised not to make payments, provide personal information, or engage with individuals issuing such offers.”
FAAN urged the public to remain vigilant and verify all recruitment-related information before taking any action.
“All authentic information regarding recruitment will be communicated through FAAN’s official channels,” the authority said.
FAAN also advised members of the public to stay alert and avoid responding to unauthorised employment offers that could expose them to financial or identity fraud.
