FG launches online citizenship, business management platform

The Ministry of Interior has introduced a new Online Citizenship and Business Management Platform as part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the initiative was described as a significant reform aimed at promoting transparency, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving public service delivery.

The digital platform is designed to simplify the application and processing of citizenship and business-related services, offering faster turnaround times and an enhanced user experience.

It enables users to apply for and manage business permits, ensuring legal compliance for both local and foreign businesses operating in Nigeria.

Additionally, the platform features an Expatriate Quota System, which regulates work permits for foreign employees, helping businesses recruit skilled professionals while adhering to Nigeria’s immigration laws.

For citizenship services, the Citizenship Administration and Management System provides an online process for applying, tracking, and managing citizenship-related applications.

The platform is accessible via the Ministry’s website at https://interior.gov.ng, through the direct portal at https://candb.interior.gov.ng, or via email at candb-support@interior.gov.ng for support and inquiries.

“The Ministry of Interior remains committed to establishing a more efficient, transparent, and secure framework for citizenship administration, while continuously enhancing service delivery through digital transformation,” the statement read in part.
