Five dead in school shooting in Austria

A shooting at a secondary school in the Austrian city of Graz has left at least five people dead and numerous others critically injured, according to local media sources.

According to local authorities, the victims include both instructors and pupils, according to Austria’s national broadcaster ORF. A school on Dreierschuetzengasse, a street in the city’s central quarter, was the site of the attack.

Although they refused to elaborate, local police acknowledged that a significant operation was taking place at the location.

Authorities are currently evacuating the building as emergency services respond to the situation.

It remains unclear whether the suspected shooter is among the casualties. No information has yet been released about the identity or motive of the perpetrator.
