FULL LIST: Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, Ambode join Lagos APC campaign council

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has constituted its campaign council for the 2027 general elections, bringing together current and former state leaders, including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode.

The list, made public on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre, outlines the various positions and committees that will coordinate the party’s campaign activities.

Prince Tajudeen Olusi is to lead the Governance Advisory Council, while Sanwo-Olu heads the Advisory Council. Fashola and Ambode will serve alongside him as Co-Chairmen.

The advisory team also features prominent figures such as Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff; Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly; and former Health Minister Adeleke Mamora.

Sanwo-Olu will also oversee the main campaign council as Chairman, with his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, serving as Deputy Chairman.

The three vice-chairmanship positions have been assigned to Ojelabi Cornelius, Obasa and Damilola Sonayon James.

Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro will serve as Director-General, while Rasaq Ajala takes the position of Deputy Director-General. Adekunle Olayinka was appointed Campaign Secretary.

The campaign structure includes a number of directorates and sub-committees handling areas such as legal matters, party relations, administration, logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora affairs and residents’ associations.

Members of the council are expected to be formally inaugurated on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.

The party’s released document contains the full membership of the council and the various responsibilities assigned to its members.
