Ganduje denies NDC defection, dismisses posters as fake

Former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has dismissed reports linking him to the New Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting he remains firmly in the ruling party.

He described viral posters suggesting his defection as false, misleading, and politically motivated, saying they were designed to create confusion within the All Progressives Congress.

In a statement issued by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, Ganduje said he is not a nomadic politician or a vulture “flying from one tree to another” in pursuit of personal ambition or political convenience.

According to the statement, Ganduje has remained loyal to the APC and has never considered leaving the party, which he once led as National Chairman.

“It is not only false but also illogical for anyone to insinuate that Ganduje has joined the NDC; such a claim lacks both political and logical foundation,” the statement said.

He reaffirmed that the APC remains the country’s strongest political platform under President Bola Tinubu, with growing support nationwide.

Ganduje also warned those behind the circulation of the fake posters to withdraw them immediately or face legal action, saying they had been identified.

He urged party members and the public to ignore the claims, stressing that his political position remains unchanged and aligned with efforts to strengthen the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
