Gov Radda reshuffles cabinet, appoints two new special advisers

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has approved a cabinet reshuffle affecting several commissioners and announced the appointment of two new special advisers.

The Governor stated that the changes are designed to enhance coordination, strengthen sectoral expertise, and fast-track the implementation of key initiatives in education, health, agriculture, youth development, women empowerment, and social welfare.

According to the statement, the reshuffle takes immediate effect and is part of efforts to reposition the administration for more effective governance and improved service delivery.

Under the new arrangement, Hon. Adnan Nahabu becomes Commissioner for Higher, Vocational, and Technical Education, while Prof. Ahmad Muhammad Bakori transitions from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to head the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development.

Hon. Aliyu Zakari Shargalle has been redeployed from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Agriculture, while Hon. Zainab Musa Musawa moves from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Special Duties.

Additionally, Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia now serves as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, and Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur assumes office as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.

Hajiya Aisha Aminu, formerly Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, has been appointed Commissioner for Women Affairs.

Furthermore, Governor Radda appointed Hajiya Hadiza Yar’adua as Special Adviser on Nutrition and Welfare Services and Isa Muhammad Musa as Special Adviser on Cultural Orientation.

In a statement signed by Ibrahim Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Radda urged all appointees to uphold the principles of his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda and remain steadfast in their service to the people of Katsina State.
