Hoodlums rob east-bound passengers, set bus on fire in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has verified an assault perpetrated by audacious armed criminals who plundered a commercial bus at Oke Ado Junction, situated in Ijebu Imushin, along the Ijebu-Ode-Benin Expressway.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, affirmed that the incident occurred during the early hours of Saturday.

Reports indicate that the passengers were en route to the South-East geopolitical zone to partake in Easter celebrations when the hoodlums perpetrated the attack, robbed them, and set the bus on fire.

“It happened in Oke Ado junction at Ijebu Mushin. A luxury bus of Mercedes Benz was burnt down. The vehicle was coming from Maza Maza (in Lagos State) before it encountered the hoodlums,” the police spokesperson said.
