Indian astrologer Astro Sharmistha has drawn widespread attention after social media users resurfaced her old predictions about a devastating plane crash in 2025—days before the tragic Air India accident in Ahmedabad.
In a post from last year, Sharmistha warned, “In 2025, plane crash headlines may give us shock.” Just a week before the incident, she reiterated her warning, writing, “I am still holding high the prediction of [a] plane crash and destruction in aviation in 2025.”
Her words began trending online after an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, bound for London Gatwick, crashed shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad. The aircraft, carrying 242 people, burst into flames after striking residential buildings.
Among those on board were 159 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese citizens, and one Canadian. Eleven children were listed, including two newborns.
Rescue teams have recovered 204 bodies, with many victims either on the flight or caught in the destruction near the crash site. The Indian military joined the rescue operation to support firefighters and emergency personnel.
Miraculously, one British passenger, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, survived. He had been seated in 11A and is currently being treated in hospital.
