I’ll never join politics even for $1bn – Bishop David Oyedepo

The founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has reiterated his resolve to stay out of partisan politics.

He stated that he would not participate in party politics even if offered $1 billion to do so.

Oyedepo made this declaration during an impartation service at Shiloh 2025, held at the church’s headquarters in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.

He explained that partisan politics is not aligned with his life’s calling, which is why he has chosen to avoid it.

His words: “In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?

“Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it is off my course.”

Oyedepo noted that the world urgently needs divine intervention due to the urgency of time.

“The world is groaning in darkness, but as written in Romans 8:19, the whole world is waiting for the earnest manifestation of the sons of God,” he added.

According to the bishop, believers are being prepared as an end-time army to provide solutions to national and global challenges, drawing parallels with biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel.
