The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, arrived at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu State, on Thursday to begin a two-day sensitisation visit and inspection of Federal Government projects in Enugu and Ebonyi states.
Following the tour of ongoing and completed projects, the minister will host a Citizens’ Engagement Forum at the Enugu State Government House to exchange ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders and residents.
Idris met Governor Peter Mbah at the Government House, describing Enugu as a key state in both the South-East geopolitical zone and Nigeria as a whole.
He said President Bola Tinubu had made significant progress over the past two years through reforms aimed at making Nigeria work again. He cited the removal of the fuel subsidy as a bold decision that freed resources for impactful governance.
Governor Mbah said the state’s projects would not have been possible without the president’s reforms. He thanked Tinubu for the concessioning of Akanu Ibiam International Airport and pledged Enugu State’s support for the administration’s success.
