JUST IN: Court convicts Nnamdi Kanu on first terrorism charge

A federal high court in Abuja has found Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), guilty on the first of seven terrorism-related charges filed against him.

Delivering the ruling on Thursday, presiding judge James Omotosho cited the prosecution’s evidence, including video interviews in which Kanu allegedly issued multiple violent threats directed at Nigeria and its citizens.
