Justice Sherifat Sonaike sentenced Andrew Nice Ominikoron to death by hanging on Friday after the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square annexe, found the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) driver guilty of the murder of 22-year-old Ayanwola Oluwabamise and the sexual assault of Dr. Anosike Victoria.
Ominikoron was charged with five counts, including rape, murder, and conspiracy, in relation to the death of Bamise, Dr. Anosike’s sexual assault, and the rape of a Maryland Ojiezelu.
He had, however, pleaded not guilty to all charges.
