Former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralf Nwosu, has officially handed over leadership of the party, presenting its membership card to former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, who have been appointed interim National Chairman and National Secretary, respectively.

The announcement was made during a high-level opposition coalition meeting held at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

The gathering was attended by prominent political figures, including the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party’s Peter Obi; former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai; and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Also present were David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola in their new roles, as well as other notable attendees such as Senator Dino Melaye; former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung; media mogul Dele Momodu; Senator Gabriel Suswam; Labour Party’s Senator Ireti Kingibe; former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha; and former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (retd.).
