Ladoja urges prayers ahead of Olubadan role

Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on Monday urged former governors of Osun, Ogun and Ondo States — Rauf Aregbesola, Gbenga Daniel and Olusegun Mimiko — to continually pray for him so he can justify the confidence reposed in him when he assumes the throne.

Hosting the trio at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, the former Oyo State governor said his main priority as the 44th Olubadan would be to preserve Yoruba tradition and promote unity.

Ladoja emphasised the need for traditional rulers and politicians to set aside rivalry after elections to drive the development of Yorubaland.

The visitors praised his track record in politics and business, pledging support ahead of his coronation.
