The Lagos state chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Tuesday, March 3, for the conduct of its state congress.
In a notice issued pursuant to article 12.8 of its constitution, the party said the congress will be held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium (formerly Onikan Stadium), Lagos Island.
The notice listed those qualified to attend the congress, including members of the state advisory council; the state chairman and members of the executive committee; and the state governor and deputy governor.
Also eligible are serving and past members of the national assembly from the state, state representatives on the national executive committee, and serving and past members of the state house of assembly.
Elected LGA chairmen and their deputies, and councillors, as well as party chairmen and secretaries across the state’s LGAs, are expected to attend.
Five delegates per ward elected at the ward congress and members of the zonal executive committee from the state are also expected at the congress.
The party said all delegates must present valid membership cards and official accreditation tags to gain entry into the venue.
The notice was signed by the chairman of the Lagos state congress committee.
