Residents of Grow Homes Estate in the Chikakore neighbourhood of Kubwa, the biggest suburban town in Abuja, have been held captive for more than an hour by a bunch of heavily armed kidnappers.
Fearful locals claim that the incident happened early on Monday morning between 12 and 1:30 a.m.
One of the locals claimed to have seen the kidnappers carry a guy and a woman away.
But by dawn, the woman was discovered inside the mansion, having been freed by her captors for unknown reasons.
At the time of filing this report, the exact number of abducted victims is still unknown.
“The incident happened around 12am. Those guys were well-armed, and they overpowered the local vigilance team.
“The police came at about 1am, and there was a fierce exchange of gunfire for about 30 minutes./. –
