MTN names Toriola VP for Francophone Africa

MTN Nigeria Communications Plc has appointed Dr Karl Toriola, its current Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, as Vice President (VP) for Francophone Africa at MTN Group Limited.

In a filing on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the company said Toriola’s new role covers Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin and Congo Brazzaville. He previously served as VP for West and Central Africa at MTN Group, giving him extensive experience in the position.

MTN also announced that Ferdinand Moolman, a Non-Executive Director, will step down from the Board on 31 October 2025. Moolman has been appointed CEO of MTN South Africa, effective 1 November 2025.

“The Board expresses its gratitude to Mr Moolman for his immense service to MTN Nigeria and wishes him success in his new role,” Company Secretary Uto Ukpanah said.

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining MTN Nigeria’s growth and delivering long-term value to stakeholders.
