Mutfwang hails Tinubu’s unity gesture

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to the state, describing it as a powerful symbol of national unity and solidarity among Nigerians.

In a statement issued on behalf of the government and people of Plateau State, Mutfwang said the President’s attendance at the final internment of Mama Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe — mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda — demonstrated deep respect, compassion, and dedication to the nation’s unity.

“Your esteemed presence in our state was a great honour and a clear expression of your respect, empathy, and commitment to national unity. The people of Plateau are deeply moved by this gesture, and we sincerely appreciate it,” the governor said.

Mutfwang also expressed gratitude to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, members of the National Assembly, fellow governors, and Federal Executive Council members who accompanied the President.

He added that Plateau State eagerly anticipates the President’s return to witness the ongoing transformation and renewed hope unfolding across the state.

“We remain grateful for your support and solidarity. Plateau State looks forward to welcoming you again soon,” Mutfwang concluded.
