Niger Government gifts 100 bags of rice, 10 cows to corps members

Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State has donated 100 bags of rice and 10 cows to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to support the feeding of corps members during the ongoing orientation course.

The state coordinator of the scheme, Mrs. Martina Shuaibu-Ibrahim, disclosed this on Sunday during the presentation of the items at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Paiko Local Government Area.

She praised the governor for his dedication to enhancing the welfare of corps members serving in the state.

“This gesture shows the state government’s commitment towards ensuring the welfare of corps members, enabling them to settle down and offer diligent service in the state,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the governor donated 600 bags of rice, 20 cows, and approved payment of N200,000 to each of the 1,600 corps members of the 2024 Batch “B” Stream 1.
