The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Monday, September 7, to Sunday, September 13, 2026, for the online registration of prospective corps members for the 2026 Batch C.
The scheme also announced that obtaining clearance from the National Education Records Database (NERD) is mandatory before prospective corps members can complete their NYSC registration.
In a notice shared on X on Friday, the NYSC stated that all prospective corps members (PCMs) must secure their NERD Clearance Certificate before beginning the registration process.
The scheme urged candidates to obtain the required clearance ahead of time to prevent delays in their mobilisation.
The scheme warned that those without the required clearance would not be able to register for the service year.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the notice stated.
It added, “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
The registration window will open on Monday, September 7, and close on Sunday, September 13.
The NYSC urged all prospective corps members preparing for the 2026 Batch C mobilisation to secure their NERD clearance ahead of the registration period.
