A man dressed in the National Youth Service Corps uniform was reportedly caught at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State, after allegedly attempting to use a fake bank alert to purchase an iPhone.
According to reports circulating online, the man visited a phone store in the popular technology market and reportedly indicated his interest in purchasing an iPhone.
He allegedly presented a bank transfer alert as proof of payment after the transaction was made. However, the alert was reportedly discovered to be fake when the seller checked the account and found that the expected payment had not been received.
The incident reportedly attracted the attention of other traders and people in the area, who confronted the man before he was taken away.
A video circulating on social media showed the man dressed in NYSC uniform while being surrounded by some people at the scene.
