Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, on his 47th birthday, marked on April 1.
In a goodwill message issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor joined Guwor’s family, lawmakers, constituents from Warri South-West, and associates in celebrating him, describing the Speaker as a purpose-driven leader.
Oborevwori praised Guwor, who also serves as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, for his contributions to legislative development and his efforts in promoting policies that support Delta State’s progress.
He noted that the Speaker has helped maintain stability within the House of Assembly, encouraging cooperation and harmony among the different arms of government.
The governor also commended the Assembly under Guwor’s leadership for ensuring smooth legislative processes, especially in the passage of key bills and resolutions aimed at improving citizens’ welfare.
According to him, the Speaker’s commitment to people-centred governance and his focused leadership style have continued to strengthen democratic institutions in the state.
He added that the synergy between the legislature and his administration’s MORE Agenda has contributed significantly to development across various sectors.
Oborevwori stated: “On behalf of my family, the government and the people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, who is also the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, on his 47th birth anniversary.”
He prayed for continued good health, long life, and greater achievements for the Speaker as he celebrates another year.
