OdumoduBlvck’s lawyers petition Police over attempted arrest

The legal team representing Nigerian musician Tochukwu Gubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as OdumoduBlvck, has petitioned the Lagos State Police Command over an alleged attempt by officers to arrest the artiste during the weekend.

The petition, addressed to the Assistant Commissioner of Police at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lagos State Police Command, was made public on Monday.

The musician’s lawyers maintained that the alleged arrest attempt occurred despite their earlier response to a police invitation extended to their client. They further argued that the police investigation should not proceed independently while the matter is already before the court.

“On the 29th of August, 2026 at about 3:00am, officers of the Nigerian Police Force purportedly acting on your Command swooped on our Client with an invitation letter purportedly issued by your good self. We request that you cause an urgent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the actions complained of herein,” they stated.

The team also stressed the Police to step back and let the Inspector General’s office handle the ongoing case.
