Okpebholo appoints advisers on traditional affairs, CSOs

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Chief Emmanuel Iyase as Special Adviser on Traditional Matters for Edo South.

The governor also named Emmanuel Sunday as Special Adviser on Civil Society Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations.

The appointments were announced in a Government Special Announcement dated September 3, 2026, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

According to the statement shared on the Edo State Government’s official Facebook page, the appointments are aimed at strengthening the administration’s engagement with traditional institutions, civil society organisations and non-governmental bodies.

“The newly appointed officials are expected to bring their wealth of experience, expertise and commitment to bear in the discharge of their respective responsibilities and in furtherance of the administration’s developmental agenda,” the statement said.

The Edo State Government added that the appointments take immediate effect.
