Armed military personnel on Saturday restricted movement along the road leading to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office on Abere Road in Osogbo, Osun State.
The soldiers were stationed along the route, where they stopped and frisked motorists while conducting searches on vehicles using the road.
Some residents passing through the area were also stopped by the military personnel and prevented from continuing their journeys.
The development occurred as voters across Osun State made their way to polling units for the governorship election.
The military presence resulted in restricted movement along the road leading to the INEC office, with motorists and other road users subjected to security checks.
