The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has congratulated former First Lady of the state, Ambassador Florence Ajimobi, following the presentation of her Copie d’Usage to the Chief of Protocol of the Republic of Austria, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig.
In a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday, Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, described the development as “a significant milestone and a source of pride to the state and Nigeria.”
He said, “The diplomatic advancement reflected Ambassador Ajimobi’s commitment to service, integrity and exemplary leadership over the years.”
The APC governorship candidate praised the former first lady, who is the wife of the late former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, for her sustained dedication to excellence, compassion and purposeful leadership.
Alli added, “Ambassador Ajimobi has remained a strong source of inspiration to women and emerging leaders through her resilience, humility and dedication to humanity.
“Her appointment and diplomatic recognition further affirmed the capacity of Nigerian women to excel globally and represent the country with dignity and honour.”
He expressed confidence that Ambassador Ajimobi would excel in her diplomatic assignment in Austria.
The lawmaker also prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for her as she embarks on the new phase of national service.
“We celebrate this remarkable achievement with Her Excellency and wish her a successful and impactful diplomatic tenure,” Alli said.
Ambassador Ajimobi officially presented her Copie d’Usage to Austria’s Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig, on Monday, marking another step in the commencement of her diplomatic assignment.
