The Kano State Police Command has handed over an orange Vibe car and an ash-coloured Haojue motorcycle to their owners after verifying their ownership documents.
Police spokesperson CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa announced the handover in a statement on Friday. He said the vehicles were recovered through intelligence-led operations and returned at the command headquarters in Bompai.
“The vehicles were recovered through intelligence-led operations and handed over to their owners at the command headquarters in Bompai, Kano, after the necessary verification and documentation,” the statement said.
The owners thanked the police for recovering their property and commended the officers’ efforts.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori congratulated them, saying the recovery reflected the policing vision of Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu.
“The policing vision emphasises the protection of lives and property, restoration of stolen property to victims of crime, and building public trust through transparent and accountable service delivery,” the statement said.
Bakori assured residents that the command remained committed to their safety.
“The Command remains resolutely committed to making Kano State safe and secure,” the commissioner said.
He added that the police would return recovered stolen property to its rightful owners after verification.
“The Command will ensure that all recovered stolen properties are returned to their legitimate owners after due verification,” the statement added.
