Port Harcourt residents protest alleged ‘one-chance’ attacks

Some residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have defied the rain to stage a peaceful protest over alleged ‘one-chance’ attacks in the city.

The protesters include victims who reportedly survived attacks allegedly carried out by criminals operating in commercial vehicles, as well as other residents who joined the march in solidarity.

They carried placards expressing concern over what they described as a growing trend of criminal activity in the state capital.

The protesters are demanding stronger security measures on the roads and better protection for commuters to prevent further attacks.

The march began at Boro Camp Junction, with the protesters heading to the Rivers State Government House and the Rivers State Police Command headquarters.

They are expected to present their demands for safer roads, improved security and an end to alleged ‘one-chance’ operations in the city.
