President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, following the passing of his mother, Mrs Monica Nnaji.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by Nnaji’s Special Adviser on Administration, Robert Ngwu, the condolence message was conveyed on behalf of the President by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu sympathised with Nnaji, his siblings, and the entire family, describing the late matriarch as a woman known for strength, discipline, and sacrifice.
“Her life was devoted to raising children with enduring values, which reflected in their contributions to society.
“Mrs Nnaji lived a fulfilled and exemplary life marked by hard work, moral guidance and commitment to family.
“Her legacy is evident in the character and achievements of her children,” he remarked.
The President encouraged the family to find comfort in the positive impact she made during her lifetime and prayed for her peaceful rest as well as strength for those she left behind.
Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria indicate that the condolence message has attracted attention in Enugu State and beyond, reflecting the relationship between the President and the former minister.
The gesture also highlights Nnaji’s contributions to national development, particularly in science, technology, and innovation.
