Prince Harry and his family have reportedly returned to Britain, six years after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as working royals.
The couple reportedly arrived on a private jet at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday, according to UK media reports.
The development comes days after British media reported that Harry and Meghan were planning to move back to the United Kingdom within weeks.
The Telegraph reported that Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III, and Meghan planned to leave the United States by the end of August and settle in a private, non-royal residence outside London.
Several UK media outlets, including the BBC, also reported that the couple’s two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, had been enrolled in a British school ahead of the new academic year in September.
The family is also reported to have selected a new home, although it is not expected to be one of the British royal family’s residences.
Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, have lived in California since 2020, when they stepped back from their roles as senior working members of the British Royal Family.
Their move to North America followed a period of tensions with other members of the royal family and intense media scrutiny.
The couple’s relationship with the royal family subsequently deteriorated further, particularly after Harry published his memoir, Spare, in which he made several revelations about his family and life within the monarchy.
The couple’s return to Britain would also mark a significant development in their relationship with the royal family.
The children had reportedly not seen their grandfather, King Charles III, since 2022.
