Residents of Anchau town in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State successfully repelled an attempted attack by heavily armed bandits after mounting a strong community resistance.
Sources within the area said a large number of terrorists tried to enter the town but were met by determined youths who rallied to defend their community. Although the attackers fired several warning shots in an effort to scare residents away, the locals refused to retreat.
Unable to break through the resistance or intimidate the crowd, the terrorists eventually called off the operation and withdrew into nearby areas. No casualties have been officially reported, though residents remain vigilant amid fears of another attack.
