Rhodes-Vivour rejects Tinubu alliance

The 2023 Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has ruled out aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s political structure in a bid to become governor.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Rhodes-Vivour dismissed the idea as a “complete waste of time”.

When asked if he could embrace Tinubu’s political style, the former LP candidate replied:

“No, I would rather focus on my business, my work, and my family. Aligning with Tinubu would be a complete waste of time.

“The reason we are in politics is to make the lives of Lagosians better. It is to restore Lagos to its old glory — glory that many people may not even be familiar with, considering the history of Lagos and the greatness it once represented.

“Any party that would not allow me to maximise the commonwealth of Lagos for the benefit of its people is a complete waste of time.”
