Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky starts by saying that yesterday they were all surprised by the sudden post from US President Donald Trump who said he had secured an energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine according to BBC.
At that very moment, Zelensky says, Russian jet powered drones were flying in Ukraine’s skies and large parts of Kyiv had no water supplies and electricity.
Zelensky notes that “immediately after the post, Russia launched a targeted strike on a power plant in Kharkiv, causing further damage to our energy system”.
“It was clear that Putin does not read Truth Social,” Zelensky adds.
