A 32-year-old man has been charged with ten counts of attempted murder following a mass stabbing on a London-bound train, British Transport Police confirmed on Monday.
The suspect, identified as Anthony Williams from Peterborough, central England, also faces charges of actual bodily harm and possession of a knife in relation to the incident on Saturday evening.
Police further revealed that Williams faces an additional count of attempted murder and knife possession connected to a separate incident in London earlier that day.
Paramedics’ medical equipment was seen inside a police cordon outside Huntingdon Station in eastern England on 1 November 2025, after the train attack.
Tracy Easton of the Crown Prosecution Service stated that investigators had reviewed “a substantial amount of evidence, including CCTV footage.” She said: “We understand the devastating effect of Saturday’s events, which shocked the entire country. Our thoughts are with all those affected.”
Ten people were taken to hospital, with four later discharged. One victim, a rail worker who tried to intervene during the attack, remains in a life-threatening condition.
Williams is due to appear in court in Peterborough later.
