TikTok Star Peller found safe at home

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, is safe after reports claimed he was kidnapped during a livestream on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin told Channels Television on Thursday that investigations were ongoing to verify the claims.

“We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is at home safe and sound. His vehicle, phones and belongings are all intact. Nothing was missing. The outcome of our investigation will determine the next line of action,” Hundeyin said.

When asked whether the incident involved an actual abduction, a staged abduction, or no kidnap at all, he stressed that the police were keeping every possibility open.

Peller, 20, was reportedly seized by gunmen on his way home on Wednesday evening while livestreaming. In footage circulating online, he appeared to mistake the men for security operatives before being taken away.

The content creator, who gained fame in 2021 through comedy skits and livestreams, has since reassured fans of his safety.
