President Bola Tinubu has concluded his work vacation and is set to return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, to continue with official duties.
Tinubu departed Nigeria on September 4 for France as part of his annual holiday, with an initial plan to spend time in both France and the United Kingdom (UK).
While in Paris last week, the president held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, where they discussed areas of bilateral collaboration and pledged to deepen ties for shared prosperity and global stability.
In a statement issued on Monday, Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy, confirmed Tinubu’s return.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties,” he wrote.
“The president departed for France on September 4, 2025, to spend part of his annual holiday and was initially scheduled to divide the period between France and the United Kingdom.”
