President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended birthday greetings to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, praising his administration’s citizen-focused governance style and significant development achievements across the state.
In a statement released on Thursday, Tinubu described Abiodun, who is also the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, as a dedicated leader whose initiatives and policies have greatly improved governance in Ogun State.
The President pointed out that the governor’s birthday comes as he marks seven years in office, a period characterised by substantial progress driven by the implementation of the “Building Our Future Together” agenda.
Tinubu said the agenda, built around five key pillars — infrastructure, social well-being and welfare, education, youth empowerment and job creation, and agriculture — has delivered meaningful benefits to residents of the state.
He particularly commended Abiodun for reshaping Ogun State’s infrastructure through projects such as a modern airport and the launch of an airline, alongside the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electric vehicles into the transportation sector.
The President also recognised the administration’s efforts to strengthen healthcare services, increase access to quality education, and foster a business-friendly environment that supports investment and economic growth.
In addition, Tinubu praised Abiodun’s contributions to the state’s industrial development and improvements in the ease of doing business, noting that these accomplishments complement the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“As the governor celebrates this special occasion, I join his family, friends, and the good people of Ogun State to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve his state and the nation,” the President stated.
