Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim on her 46th birthday, describing her as a dependable public servant with a track record of strengthening institutions and delivering results.
In a statement issued by his adviser Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the minister’s leadership, noting, “The President described Ms Sulaiman-Ibrahim, who marked her birthday on Sunday, as a steady hand at a time when clarity of purpose and institutional discipline are essential to delivering meaningful social outcomes.”
He highlighted her contributions at the Ministry of Women Affairs, stating that under her watch, there has been renewed focus on protection, inclusion, and opportunity, with systems designed not just to respond to vulnerability but to prevent it.
Tinubu further observed that her career reflects consistent success in handling complex responsibilities and leaving behind stronger systems and clearer direction. He also praised her ability to manage policy and execution effectively, noting that her work aligns with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in prioritising women, children, and families.
The President wished her continued success, strength, and sound judgment in service to the nation.
Born on April 19, 1980, Sulaiman-Ibrahim has over two decades of experience in security, humanitarian affairs, and public service. She previously served as Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and later as Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons.
She was appointed Minister of State for Police Affairs in 2023 before being reassigned to head the Women Affairs Ministry in 2024.
